Samuel Jardine
Samuel Jardine is an experienced geopolitics and political risk specialist and Consultant. He has advised the United Nations World Food Programme, World Economic Forum, Confederation of Indian Industry and a range of government, NGO, finance, tech, and industry clients.
Sam is the Head of Research at London Politica, a political risk consultancy, and director of its Geopolitics on the Periphery programme. He is also a Research Consultant for RUSI’s Defence, Industries and Society programme, a current Research Fellow at the Open Lunar Foundation, and a former Fellow of the Arctic Institute, Ecologic Institute, and MiH-RCN hosted Arctic Geopolitics programme. Sam further is a strategic adviser for the GORSTRA Research Group, an emerging human rights think tank, and is a RUSI Military Sciences “Rising Stars” thought leadership programme mentee. Prior to 2020, Sam ran his own public history company, providing talks, seminars, and lectures to a variety of academic and public audiences. He holds an MA in Modern History from King’s College London, and a BA(Hons) in History from the Open University. Sam advocates for Applied History's utility within contemporary geopolitics and policy. Sam specialises in the geopolitics, policy, and security of the polar regions, space, the indo-pacific and “global Britain” with a particular focus on defence, climate conflict, mineral politics and strategic competition. He has a growing list of public engagement and media interviews including talks at RUSI and interviews with Voice of America and other media outlets, alongside numerous publications across academic, popular, and analytical platforms. |
