Sam McAllister

Sam McAllister is a Risk Intelligence Analyst at Luminint, with professional experience spanning the private security, open-source intelligence, and risk advisory sectors. Sam earned a BA in Politics and International Relations and subsequent MA in Security and Terrorism from the University of Kent, where he specialized in geopolitics, conflict resolution strategies, and mediation. Through the adjacent Conflict Analysis Research Centre he has obtained additional certifications in the principles of negotiation.
After graduating, Sam worked providing support to volunteer units in Ukraine through open-source intelligence methods, using a wide array of OSINT tools to provide tactical intelligence for actively deployed personnel. Following this, he transitioned into security intelligence and risk advisory, where he now works providing geopolitical intelligence analysis to both the public and private sectors. Additionally, Sam supports research at London Politica in his capacity as Research Consultant. His central research interest concerns the structure of security in the Arctic and High North, with a particular focus on the risks associated with the increasing viability of the Northern Sea Route. Beyond this primary focus, he also maintains a keen interest in global maritime security, energy geopolitics, and the defense architecture of Northern Europe. |
