Lance Moore
Born and raised in Boise, Idaho, Lance Moore is a first-generation American who attended Boise State University to pursue an undergraduate degree in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Journalism. He moved to Washington, D.C. in 2014 for a reporting internship. While covering an open hearing of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Lance had his first professional interaction with themes of national security, geopolitics, intelligence, and how U.S. foreign policies affect the world.
As a journalist, Lance found his passion for investigative work, collecting and analyzing raw data, and putting together pieces of information to tell a story and seek truth. He maintained this passion after transitioning from a journalist to a national security and intelligence professional. Lance further refined his understanding of national security by attending and graduating from the Institute of World Politics (IWP) in 2020 with an M.A. in Statecraft and National Security Affairs, specializing in Intelligence. Lance has worked on a variety of private sector contracts supporting projects within the U.S defense, intelligence, and federal law enforcement communities as well as other U.S. government and private sector organizations. Lance's expertise lies in criminal and corporate investigations, legal research, due diligence and white-collar crime, risk analysis and business intelligence, counterterrorism, counterproliferation, open-source research, intelligence collection and analysis, European and British politics, Russia, and the former Soviet bloc. |
